I've been around Locust for many years now. The way the young men and kids look up to him is something you don't see anymore. It's hard to describe, truly, but Wayne Clark has done something at Locust that showcases community, family and something we should all strive to achieve. He has nurtured and helped a generation come up and do something spectacular. Tonight I saw the respect, love and admiration from a group of young men to this man as they high fived him for a great family friendly night of fireworks and fun. I don't think I truly realized the impact he had, even after all these years, but I do have respect for what he's built and am thankful for the safe, amazing course he lets us call "home". Trust that the community that has been built out at Locust Hill Golf Course, WV is something unique and once in a lifetime. I'm so blessed to have stumbled upon such a sincere group after traveling the country. Thank you, Wayne, for doing everything you do for Locust, the community and Jefferson county. I'm glad to be a small part of it. Get your kids out on the course and in first tee! It's such a fantastic way to challenge and push them in every aspect of their lives. The discipline, work and focus they will learn isn't found much anymore and you won't regret it. Again, thanks Wayne for all you do, we appreciate you!
